Bio:
Synergy Project 28th of April - in the Liquid Records dance room
Zia Geelani was bass player with the legendary Ozric Tentacles from 1993-2004 - ZubZub is his soloproject since leaving the band. The live line-up for ZubZub is a five-piece featuring musicians from Ozrics, Eat Static and Dream Machine - Zia on synths, Champignon (Ozric) on flutes, Joie Hinton (Ozric and Eat Static) on synths, Alex Pym (Dream Machine) on guitar and Mindflux on percussion.

Zubzub is the creation of long time Ozric Tentacles bass player Zia Geelani. After more than ten years of touring, writing, recording and producing with the Ozrics, Zia now concentrates full time on crafting distinctive dance tunes where the emphasis is on intelligent rhythms and strong production values. He is also involved in writing music for occasional commercial projects such as product launches (Casio, Clairol, JCB), fashion catwalk shows, and video syncronisation.
zubzub incorporates the epic musical feel of the Ozrics fused with cleverly programmed, strongly groovy dance rhythms. In the mix is also a distinct taste for ethnic instruments and styles. Talented contributing musicians are used regularly, both in live shows and album recording, which gives the zubzub sound its own unique flavour.
The live shows have been very well received and performances have included Tribe of Frog, Clockwork Prism and the Glade festival.
ZubZub has released 2 albums; an eponymously titled release in 2003 and "Malicious Code" in 2005, both on Rubbish Records.
